🇺🇸 Description: Created within the contemporary context of the No Kings movement — a collective initiative that emerged in 2025 as a form of non-violent resistance to perceived authoritarian shifts — this work operates at the intersection of artistic image and socio-political dynamics.
The composition unfolds as a field of signs, combining a central figure with symbolic motifs and textual elements. The depiction of a political figure, alongside the repeated crown motif and the explicit inscription “NO KING,” constructs an image that functions both as a pictorial surface and as a language system.
The painting performs a shift: the individual figure dissolves into a network of symbols, where power is no longer embodied but circulated through visual forms. Sketched architectures, national emblems, and hybrid figures contribute to this fragmentation, transforming the space into a field of interpretation rather than a narrative scene.

🇮🇹 Descrizione: Realizzata nel contesto contemporaneo del movimento No Kings - un’iniziativa collettiva emersa nel 2025 come forma di resistenza non violenta di fronte a derive percepite come autoritarie - quest’opera si colloca in uno spazio in cui l’immagine artistica incontra le dinamiche sociali e politiche.
La composizione si struttura come un campo di segni, articolando una figura centrale, motivi simbolici ed elementi testuali. La rappresentazione di una figura politica, associata alla ripetizione del motivo della corona e all’iscrizione esplicita « NO KING », costruisce un’immagine che funziona sia come superficie pittorica sia come dispositivo di linguaggio.
Il dipinto opera uno spostamento: la figura individuale si dissolve in un sistema di simboli, in cui il potere non è più incarnato ma messo in circolazione attraverso forme visive.
