🇮🇹 Descrizione: Questo disegno nasce dallo stesso esercizio di attivazione stilistica: una natura morta fissa — composta da una piccola pianta in vaso e da una statua africana del “pensatore” — doveva essere reinterpretata nel linguaggio di un artista nominato all’istante. Gabriel disponeva di un massimo di due minuti per realizzare l’immagine.

Ispirato all’universo grafico di Keith Haring, la composizione abbandona il naturalismo per adottare una linea continua, spessa e dinamica. Le forme sono semplificate in figure essenziali, quasi iconiche. Le linee di vibrazione attorno ai corpi suggeriscono movimento ed energia.

La pianta diventa un elemento ritmico, quasi animato; il vaso si popola di segni ripetuti che evocano la sintassi visiva tipica di Haring. Anche la figura umana è ridotta a silhouette compatta e universale.

La contrainte temporale amplifica l’immediatezza del gesto. L’opera non descrive: comunica. Gabriel non imita Haring; ne attiva il linguaggio simbolico e la dimensione urbana e vitale.

🇬🇧 Description: This drawing emerges from the same stylistic activation exercise: a fixed still life — composed of a small potted plant and an African “thinker” statue — had to be reinterpreted in the visual language of an artist named instantly. Gabriel had a maximum of two minutes to execute the image.

Inspired by the graphic universe of Keith Haring, the composition abandons naturalism in favor of a bold, continuous, dynamic line. Forms are simplified into essential, almost iconic figures. Vibrating lines surrounding the bodies suggest motion and energy.

The plant becomes rhythmic and animated; the pot is filled with repeated marks that echo Haring’s visual syntax. The human figure is reduced to a compact, universal silhouette.

The time constraint intensifies the immediacy of the gesture. The work does not describe; it communicates. Gabriel does not imitate Haring; he activates the artist’s symbolic language and vital, urban energy.
